- Develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies to attract and hire salaried and hourly employees, with a focus on cosmetics and beauty industry roles.
- Create and promote a strong employer brand that appeals to potential candidates.
- Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience, encompassing the application, interview, offer, and onboarding processes while complying with all legal requirements.
- Design and implement retention strategies to reduce turnover and enhance employee satisfaction in their initial months of employment with Apollo.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and address retention challenges proactively.
- Partner with senior leaders, managers, and supervisors to advise and coach on best practices for talent acquisition and retention.
- Provide training and support on recruitment tools, trends, and strategies.
- Train and mentor HR team members in areas related to recruitment and retention.
- Build and maintain a network of potential candidates, ensuring a pipeline of qualified talent for future opportunities.
- Engage in relationship-building efforts with industry professionals and community organizations to source talent.
- Utilize social media platforms to drive networking and candidate pool development.
- Maximize the use of recruitment platforms, job boards, and other tools to streamline the hiring and onboarding processes.
- Oversee and support the recruitment of hourly plant positions in collaboration with HR Generalists.
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Forecast Co-Op needs, engage with relevant institutions and strive to make Apollo and employer of choice for high potential students.
- Support the VP of HR in developing a strong team that provides support, service and strategic value to the business and its employees.
- Mentor and coach managers and senior leaders as they work through the hiring process.
- Listens to the needs of the hiring manager and leadership team, structures thinking and uses strong judgement to develop a recruitment plan and drive forward quickly.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5-7 years of generalist HR experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition and retention, preferably within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical or GMP-compliant environment.
- Proven track record in hiring salaried professionals and managing hourly recruitment processes.
- Strong understanding of recruitment platforms, applicant tracking systems, and employer branding techniques.
- Consultative approach and tenacious at connecting with, assessing and placing candidates in professional roles.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze metrics and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Adept at building relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Leadership experience with a focus on mentorship and team development.
